About Owens Property Service

By late afternoon in Janesville, the sun drops behind the tree line along the Cedar River early enough that a walk cleared at noon can be icing over again before supper, and Owens Property Service times its routes around that short window of real daylight. The crew works yards and driveways across this small Bremer County town, block by block, clearing paths from the door to the street before the evening freeze sets back in. Janesville's houses sit on generous lots by small-town standards, with longer walks from the door to the street than a denser town would allow, and clearing all of that by hand or blade takes real time even on a light snow day. Farm ground presses in close on every side of town, and the wind off those open fields tends to drift snow against the east side of a house while leaving the west side nearly clear. Reading which side needs the second pass is something that comes only from working the same streets storm after storm.
