About Amelon Lawn Care, LLC

At the south end of town, the light coming off Sand Lake at Terry Trueblood turns the whole west sky orange, and the last mowing of the day gets finished in it. Amelon Lawn Care, LLC works the yards along that stretch of Iowa City, cutting on a steady schedule, trimming the corners a deck can never reach, and running an edge along drives and walks so the grass stops where it is supposed to. Clippings come off the pavement before the truck pulls away. April brings the cleanup of everything winter left behind; October brings the leaf work, repeated until the maples stand bare. A mown lawn at dusk in Johnson County is a small, good thing, and it is the whole point of the day.
