About PRO-TURF Services

On July mornings the balloons go up north of Indianola while the grass is still gray with dew and the air hasn't started moving yet. PRO-TURF Services thinks about a lawn the way a field gets thought about — mowing height held where the turf keeps its color through the hot weeks, cuts scheduled to growth instead of the calendar. Trimming and edging draw the boundaries; fertilizing and weed control take care of what's happening below the blade. August in central Iowa tests a stand of grass, and one that comes through it still green is the point of every earlier pass. By September the color deepens on its own, and the whole season's work shows at once.
