About Country View Land & Home Care

West of Indianola the section roads turn to gravel and the yards open out to bur oak windbreaks and corn that goes blue-green by July. Country View Land & Home Care keeps lawns out here, where a mower deck has to know exactly where a yard ends and the field begins. The cutting runs on a rhythm the weather sets — every five days through a wet June, stretched longer in the dust of late August when the cicadas start up in the elms. Trimming around fence lines, mailbox posts and machine-shed corners is the part that makes a whole acreage look tended rather than merely cut. By the time the truck pulls back onto the blacktop, the clippings are off the drive and the lines run straight all the way to the ditch.
