Down To Earth Lawn Care

About Down To Earth Lawn Care

In Hull, the wind comes off the Sioux County section roads with nothing to slow it but a farmstead windbreak and the grain elevator standing up against the sky. Down To Earth Lawn Care works under that wide flat light, mowing and edging yards where the turf simply stops and the black soil begins. There is real satisfaction in a stripe laid straight down the length of a corner lot, and in a trimmed line along the sidewalk that looks drawn rather than cut. Spring arrives here all at once — one warm week and the grass goes green from Boyden to Rock Valley — and the season opens with cleanups that clear the winter grit out of the beds, then fertilization and weed control to hold the color through July. By fall, when the combines run late and the dust hangs gold over the highway, the leaves get gathered and the lawn goes into the cold cut clean.
