About American Tree Service LLC

Holstein takes its name from a region of northern Germany, and in February the Ida County wind can feel as if it blew in from just as far, scouring the open fields and laying drifts against every fence and garage door. American Tree Service, a tree service by name, turns to snow removal when winter takes hold, clearing out driveways and sidewalks so mornings in town can start on schedule. The lovely part comes right after: a pale sun low over the white country, the drive scraped down to pavement, the banks heaped tidy on either side like folded linen. Northwest Iowa winters ask a great deal of a small town, and an open lane at the end of a storm answers back. In Holstein, that answer is a clear path from the front step to the street.
