About Terrace Landscaping

Hiawatha is not flat, not exactly; the yards roll a little toward the creek bottoms, and a slope wants handling differently than level ground does. Terrace Landscaping works with that, stepping beds along a grade, setting plantings where the water actually runs, mowing and trimming in a way that does not tear up a hillside. In October the job turns to pulling leaves out of the low corners where they gather and cutting back whatever has finished for the year. In spring it is mulch, fresh edges and the first cuts, and the shape of the whole yard comes back at once. Ground that sits well on its own contours looks effortless, and that effortlessness is the work.
