Hutch Snow Blowing & Mowing

About Hutch Snow Blowing & Mowing

There is a particular quiet to Hiawatha at four in the morning after a January snow, no traffic yet on Center Point Road, just streetlights and blue dark and the squeak of boots. Hutch Snow Blowing & Mowing is out in it, walking the blower down driveways and sidewalks so that people can back out at seven without giving it a thought. Come May the same routes turn green and the work turns to mowing, trimming and edging, week in and week out until the leaves come down. Two seasons, one town, the same simple promise: the drive cleared before dawn, the lawn cut before the weekend. Hiawatha winters ask a lot of a driveway, and Hiawatha summers ask a lot of a lawn.
