J.Minor & Sons Enterprises works those river-valley streets first for exactly that reason, then climbs back out to the blocks running toward the higher ground near the state line. There's a particular stillness to clearing a driveway with the river running gray and half-frozen just below, South Dakota visible on the far bank through bare cottonwoods.
