About K&J Tree Service, LLC

West of Harlan the ground starts to roll and rise into the Loess Hills, and the windbreaks planted along those bluffs a generation ago do exactly what they were meant to do — catch the snow before it reaches the fields, and pile it instead across the lanes K&J Tree Service gets called out to open. This crew knows those tree lines the way a sailor knows a coastline, which row throws the deepest drift, which draw fills in first when the wind swings out of the northwest. Clearing a hillside driveway here means working with the terrain, not just against whatever snow happens to be sitting on it. Standing at the top of a bluff at first light, breath fogging, watching a lane finally run clear all the way down to the road, is reason enough to keep at it storm after storm. K&J keeps those hill farms reachable no matter which way the wind was blowing overnight.
