Lacaeyse Lawn Care & Snow Removal

About Lacaeyse Lawn Care & Snow Removal

Wind is the constant out here — it comes off open ground from the northwest with nothing between Grinnell and the horizon to slow it down. Lacaeyse Lawn Care & Snow Removal reads it the way farmers do: which way drifts will stack against a driveway, which corner of a yard the leaves will pile into. Through the green months the work is mowing, trimming and edging; once the ground goes hard it becomes snow removal, drives and walks opened up while the sky is still the color of iron. Late November, that week when everything changes over at once, is the honest test of anybody who works outdoors in Iowa. The payoff never changes either — a path clear underfoot, a yard cut even, a house that looks tended from the road.
