About Hoopes Snow, Lawn, and Landscaping LLC

January mornings in Grinnell come up black and utterly still, the fields west of town gone featureless under new snow. Hoopes Snow, Lawn, and Landscaping LLC is out in that dark clearing drives and lots, so the first cars of the day roll onto bare pavement without ever having to think about it. When the ground finally lets go in April, the same hands turn to landscaping — beds shaped, borders recut, plantings set where they will catch the afternoon — and then to mowing and trimming right on through the growing season. It is one property looked after twice over, in two entirely different kinds of weather. Pavement swept bare at five in the morning and a bed line drawn sharp in June are the same idea, told twice.
