About Seidl Services, L.L.C.

Seidl Services, L.L.C. often finishes a storm the way it started it — overnight, working the edge where Grimes' newest rooftops meet open black dirt fields that haven't been platted yet. That seam moves every year as the town grows, and this crew has plowed driveways on ground that was still corn stubble a couple of seasons back. Late storms here tend to come in fast off the plains with little warning, temperatures falling hard after dark, and there's a particular focus that overnight work demands when the wind is doing as much moving of snow as the plow is. By early morning the crew has worked back toward the center of town, driveways opening up one after another like a trail being cut through open country. Grimes wakes up fast these days, more of it every winter, and the ground this crew cleared overnight is simply ready before anyone else is.
