About Ever Greene Sodding and Landscaping, Inc

At five on a midwinter morning Grimes is still dark, the rooftops of this fast-growing suburb northwest of Des Moines frosted over and every streetlight haloed in falling flakes. Ever Greene Sodding and Landscaping is out in that hush, pushing drives and walks open so the first commuters can reach Highway 141 without a struggle. By name it is a sodding and landscaping company, and once April warms the ground the attention shifts to lawn care: mowing thick turf to a uniform height, trimming it close, edging it hard against the concrete. A Grimes yard kept this way looks dense and deliberate, the kind of green that makes a new neighborhood feel rooted. Whatever the central Iowa sky delivers next, the driveway and the lawn are ready for it.
