About HI-Line Bucket Truck Service LLC

HI-Line Bucket Truck Service LLC works from a different vantage than most crews clearing snow around Greenfield — a boom that lifts a person above rooflines and power lines along the rural section-line roads outside town, built for the ice and overhang that ground-level work can't reach. Southwest Iowa's rolling ground means drifts pile unevenly, filling low spots along those same long gravel stretches while the high ridges blow bare, and this crew reads that terrain by feel after enough winters on it. Evenings are often the busy hour, headlights and work lights taking over from the low winter sun that drops behind the hills west of town by five o'clock. There is a particular kind of quiet on a bucket lift after a storm, Greenfield spread out below still catching its breath, driveways and lanes waiting their turn. By the next morning, the lines this crew cleared are simply the ones nobody in town has to think about.
