Madison Turf and Timber

About Madison Turf and Timber

Drive out of Fort Madison toward West Point and Denmark and the town quits in a hurry: gravel underfoot, fencerow, April corn ground still dark and open to the sky. Madison Turf and Timber works that edge where a yard runs straight into a field and somebody has to decide where the lawn ends. Mowing acreage-sized lawns, trimming out fence lines and post bases, edging the drive so a gravel approach still lands on something sharp, and cleaning up what winter left in the windbreak. Big ground takes patience and a plan for the order you cut it in — and it looks like a whole different property when the last pass closes. Fort Madison and the country around it.
