Stump's Snow & Mow

About Stump's Snow & Mow

October mornings here arrive with frost on the windshields and a northwest wind coming down the open county roads with nothing at all to slow it. Stump's Snow & Mow keeps mowing straight through it — the late cuts that matter most, edges trimmed back, leaves and clippings pulled off the walks before they mat down. West of town the ground still remembers gypsum, pale seams running under all that black dirt, and the lawns out that way go dormant early and tidy. There is real pride in leaving a yard cut low and squared away at the end of a season, put properly to bed. When the last pass is finished, the whole block looks ready for whatever the sky is loading up.
