About Midwest Tree Service Inc.

Fairfield's older streets run under a real canopy — big maples and oaks planted long before any of today's houses went up, the kind that turn a summer sidewalk into a tunnel of shade and, in a bad ice storm, drop a limb across a driveway overnight. Midwest Tree Service already knows many of those trees from the pruning side, which means clearing a driveway here often starts with reading what the tree above it did in the last freeze before the plow blade ever moves. A property under a heavy old canopy holds snow differently than open ground — shaded longer, melting slower, refreezing into ice right where a car needs to back out — and that's exactly the kind of ground this crew already reads from having pruned the branches above it. Cutting a fallen limb clear and then plowing the driveway underneath it in the same visit means one January morning instead of two. Tree work and snow work happen under the same old branches, on the same tree-lined blocks running through the middle of Fairfield.
