Dean's Lawn Care & Snow Removal

About Dean's Lawn Care & Snow Removal

Evansdale sits low along a bend of the Cedar River, a grid of quiet residential streets built close enough to the water that everyone here keeps half an eye on both the river and the sky come winter. Dean's Lawn Care spends the warm months on the same lawns it plows in the cold — a business that already knows which yards drain slow, which driveways slope toward the garage, which corners catch the wind coming off the river flats. After the first real snowfall of the season, the trucks are out early, clearing driveways street by street so the whole grid opens up together instead of one house at a time. There's real satisfaction in a driveway pushed back to bare concrete before a workday starts in Waterloo or Cedar Falls, in sidewalks salted before anyone's boots hit them. The trucks doing the plowing are the same ones that cut this neighborhood's grass all summer long.
