About Aunt Rhodie's Landscaping & Design Studio

The soil under Scott County is black and deep, the kind that will grow anything you have the patience to plan for. Aunt Rhodie's Landscaping & Design Studio works in that patience — beds drawn on paper first, then planted, then tended through the long green weeks of an Eldridge June. Evenings here stretch out; the light goes gold across the fields west of town and lands on a border that was bare ground in April. Lawn care runs alongside the design work, because a bed only looks finished when the grass around it is mown, trimmed and edged clean. It is a studio in the truest sense — the yard is the drawing board, and the drawing keeps growing.
