Button Stump Grinding and Landcare

About Button Stump Grinding and Landcare

Pine Lake sits just north of Eldora, its wooded shoreline drawing summer crowds that thin out completely once the lake ices over and the campground gates close for the season. Button Stump Grinding and Landcare works year-round property care into the coldest months too, clearing driveways and walkways for the houses scattered along the timbered roads between town and the park. Hardin County's snow tends to catch in the tree cover the way it never does out in the open cornfields farther south, drifting deep along the wooded lot lines the company already knows from summer stump work. A quiet morning after a storm out here means mostly bare branches and snow-covered ground, the lake itself gone silent under ice until spring. In town, the same crew clears shorter, tighter driveways near the courthouse square, working the timbered edges and the in-town blocks on the same winter routes.
