LA Lawncare

About LA Lawncare

Eddyville stands on the Des Moines River where Wapello, Mahaska and Monroe counties meet, and just outside town the river has left something you would never expect in Iowa: sand dunes and sand prairie, with prickly pear cactus growing in the open sun. LA Lawncare looks after lawns in this river town, where summer heat off the bottomland can test any yard by late July. Regular mowing at a sensible height and clean trimming along walks and beds help a lawn keep its color while the season bakes around it. It is careful, steady work, and it shows from the street. On an evening when the air smells of river mud and cottonwood and the light slants gold across the river, a newly mown lawn is a fine thing to come home to.
