About A.R.B. Roofing Company

Durant sits where Cedar County's cornfields flatten out toward the Scott County line, close enough to the old Rock Island grade that a grain train still rolls through some mornings on its way toward the Mississippi. A.R.B. Roofing Company works rooflines in winter too, clearing snow from shingles and gutters along with the driveways below before the plows even reach Highway 6. Out here the wind has nothing to slow it down, so a fresh snowfall can drift a driveway shut by sunrise, and the crew is out with blades and shovels while porch lights are still the only light in town. By late afternoon the low sun catches the cleared walks and the packed white fields beyond, the whole town looking scraped clean and ready for whatever comes next off the plains. The company serves Durant and the small towns strung along the highway around it, working roof to driveway until every path into a house is open again.
