About Green Valley Landscaping & Excavating

Swiss Valley sits in a fold southwest of Dubuque where a spring-fed creek keeps the air ten degrees cooler than the ridge above it, and in May the whole hollow goes green almost overnight. Green Valley Landscaping & Excavating works that kind of ground — sloped yards, shaded corners, wet low spots that need a mower operator who understands where the soft ground is. Mowing and trimming are the weekly backbone; mulch goes down around the beds, edges get recut, and the borders that blurred over winter come back into focus. The Driftless country never gives anyone a flat rectangle to work with, which is exactly what makes a well-kept yard here worth looking at. Come spring cleanup, the winter debris comes out and the season starts clean.
