D & S Lawn Care

About D & S Lawn Care

April on the west side of Dubuque is mud and promise. The frost comes out of the ground in Asbury, the subdivision lawns go from gray straw to something faintly green, and everyone waits on that first dry week when a mower can finally get out without leaving ruts. D & S Lawn Care starts there — raking out the winter thatch, clearing the grit the plows pushed into the turf, feeding the lawn so the green arrives all at once instead of in patches. Then comes the season's first cut, which is the one that changes a yard's whole appearance in an afternoon. From there it's the regular weekly pass, trimming and edging included, right through the long Iowa summer.
