About Whitfield's Lawn & Garden Specialist

Out where Des Moines blends into Windsor Heights and Clive, the streets curl into cul-de-sacs and the driveways all face roughly the same direction toward the same commute — which means a storm that hits overnight has to be cleared before the garage doors start opening at once. Whitfield's Lawn & Garden Specialist works those suburban loops driveway by driveway, plowing and de-icing ahead of the morning rush, then circling back to walkways and front steps once the main routes are clear. The wind out here has nothing to break it, so a plowed driveway can drift half full again within the hour if the crew doesn't time the second pass right. Ice control gets laid down heaviest on the north-facing steps and shaded stretches of walkway, the spots that hold onto a freeze longest after the sun's been up for hours. It's suburban snow removal built around one plain reality: everybody on the street needs to leave for work at roughly the same time.
