About Marquez Brothers Lawn & Landscaping

August on the east side carries the Fairgrounds with it — a week of crowded hill streets off Grand, and then a quiet that settles back over the neighborhood almost overnight. Marquez Brothers Lawn & Landscaping mows those sloping yards straight through the heat, when Iowa humidity pushes bluegrass up faster than anyone can keep pace with. Alongside the weekly cutting, trimming and edging, the crew builds the parts that stay put: mulch and rock spread through the beds, borders cut in by hand, shrubs pruned back into line. When the maples give out in late October, leaf cleanup follows, and then a final low pass before the ground turns hard. What's left behind is a property that looks cared for from the curb and from the alley both.
