Jesse's Lawn & Snow

About Jesse's Lawn & Snow

When the wind sets in from the northwest across open Warren County ground, snow doesn't so much fall on Indianola as travel through it, stacking in the lee of every garage, hedge and parked truck. Jesse's Lawn & Snow runs those nights — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling and clearing walks, putting ice melt down at the steps. There is a specific reward in a drive that's open and gritted before the first alarm goes off anywhere on the block. Come April the same truck trades the blade for a mower deck: weekly cuts, trimming, edging, and the walks swept clean after. Two seasons, one job, keeping the ground underfoot the way it ought to be.
