About Phil's Lawn Landscaping-Nursery

Autumn is planting season in Crawford County — soil still warm, air finally cooled, the timber out at Yellow Smoke Park turning while roots underground keep working. Phil's Lawn Landscaping-Nursery moves at that pace around Denison, setting trees and shrubs, building and mulching beds, laying out plantings, and keeping lawns mowed, trimmed and raked clean on either side of the season. Choosing what actually thrives on a windy Iowa corner lot is half the craft; the other half is putting it in the ground so it is still standing thirty winters from now. A yard planted well gets better every year without asking much in return. That long view is what makes the work worth doing.
