About T & B Property Maintenance & Tree Service L.L.C.

In the Driftless country the Upper Iowa River cuts between limestone bluffs, and cold water runs straight out of the rock at Dunning's Spring on the edge of Decorah. T & B Property Maintenance & Tree Service works the steep yards and the flat streets below them — pruning maples and walnuts along Water Street, pulling deadwood out of bluff-edge oaks, clearing what leans over a driveway carved into a hillside. Ground like this turns every removal into a rigging problem, so trees come apart from the top down and travel out on ropes rather than by gravity. After a hard blow moves through the valley the calls stack up fast, and a day becomes limbs off roofs, brush loaded, and lanes reopened before dark. Come winter, with the leaves down and the bluffs pale, the shape of a well-pruned crown is visible from clear across town.
