HANDYVAN (Handyman Services)

About HANDYVAN (Handyman Services)

Sumac flares scarlet along the roadsides around Davis City in early autumn, and the timbered hills of Decatur County begin their slow turn toward gold. HANDYVAN (Handyman Services) is a handyman business that counts lawn care among its work, the kind of practical help small towns down here lean on. On a clear midday, with the river running low and the pastures gone tawny, the job is to mow the grass down neat, trim around the steps and the garden edge, and leave the yard tidy enough that it looks cared for from the road. It is handy, unglamorous work, and in a place this small a neat yard is a gift to everyone who passes by.
