MT's Lawn Care & Gardening

About MT's Lawn Care & Gardening

A May rain soaks the hilltop streets above Garfield for an hour and leaves all of Davenport darker and taller than it was at breakfast. MT's Lawn Care & Gardening works both halves of a yard — the lawn mowed and trimmed on schedule, and the beds tended by hand: weeding, planting, dividing what has crowded itself, mulching, cutting back the spent stems. Gardening runs at a slower pace than mowing does, and a bed kept this way changes month to month instead of merely staying neat. By high summer the perennials are doing the talking and the grass is simply the frame around them. Davenport, Bettendorf and Riverdale.
