About Mason Lawncare

The first mow of May in Dallas Center happens under a sky with nowhere to hide — the elevator up by the tracks, Highway 44 running east toward Grimes, and everything else open clear to the horizon. Mason Lawncare starts the year right there, cutting grass that came on fast after a wet April, string trimming fence lines and mailbox posts, edging the sidewalks back from a winter's worth of creep. Mornings open with dew heavy enough to soak a boot and close with the smell of cut grass hanging over the whole block. Cleanups take the shoulders of the year, spring and fall, when the yards need clearing more than cutting. In between, the town holds a straight, even green, one lawn at a time.
