About MudSlingers, Inc.

Late winter in Cresco has a way of turning tidy snowbanks into something messier — slush by afternoon, glare ice by the time the sun drops behind the grain elevator. MudSlingers, Inc. works that in-between stretch as much as the deep-winter storms, clearing driveways and lots before the day's melt refreezes into something worse overnight. There's particular attention paid to timing here: a lot plowed too early just fills back in, and one left too late turns into a skating rink under the streetlights. The crew runs its routes through Cresco's residential streets and out along the edges of town, leaving a clean, scraped surface behind rather than a half-hearted pass. It's unglamorous work, done in the cold and the dark half the time, for driveways that need to be usable in the morning regardless of what the night did to them.
