About Lawn Stars

There is a stretch of summer dusk in Clinton, after the last pass is made and the trailer ramp goes up, when the sky over the Mississippi goes the color of a plum and the first stars show above Illinois. Lawn Stars ends its days right there — mower cooling, walks blown clean, another yard cut into even bands. The work itself is daylight work: cutting, edging and trimming, holding the turf on schedule from the first green of spring until the ground goes quiet. Clinton yards ask for consistency above all — a schedule kept, a height held, borders that never drift. That steadiness is what makes a whole street look cared for.
