About Do-It-All Services, L.L.C.

The old rail line through Charles City is a walking trail now, and on a late-August evening it carries half the town out along the edge of the Cedar with the crickets going in the ditch grass. Do-It-All Services, L.L.C. keeps the properties on either side of that stroll in order. The name is the job description: mowing and trimming as the backbone, plus the odd-shaped tasks a place accumulates — overgrown corners, cleanup hauls, the yard work that keeps getting bumped to next weekend. North Iowa gives you a short, generous growing season and then takes it back fast, so the work runs at the pace the calendar allows. What lasts is the ordinary, excellent look of a lot that somebody obviously took care of.
