About A+ Tree and Snow Removal LLC

Up on the Bever Park overlook, the old bur oaks hold their ice long after the rest of Cedar Rapids has thawed, and it's under trees like those — heavy-limbed, dripping — that this crew does its best work. A+ Tree and Snow Removal LLC clears driveways and walkways one block at a time on the city's east side, working around the same limbs and roots that shade those yards all summer. There's a particular satisfaction in a drive scraped clean to the concrete while the branches above still wear their February coat, the kind of contrast that makes a plowed lane look almost startling against the white. Ice storms here tend to test the trees before they test the pavement, and a crew that knows both isn't caught off guard by either. By the time the sun clears the river bluffs, the walk is bare and the oaks are still standing watch.
