About Prestige Lawn and Snow LLC
The curved streets that circle in toward Cedar Lake don't run in any of the straight grid patterns older parts of the city use, which means a plow route here is more about following the bend of the road than pushing straight down a block. Prestige Lawn and Snow LLC clears the driveways backing onto the lake trail, where a walk out the front door in January means stepping onto pavement that's often the only dry ground between the house and the frozen water below. The lake itself throws its own cold back at the houses closest to it, a damp chill that reaches the driveways nearest the shoreline before it reaches the streets further up the curve. Clearing those first, before working out toward the straighter streets at the edge of the neighborhood, has become the order the season runs in. By midmorning the curve around the lake is scraped clear end to end, the kind of loop that's easy to walk in summer and just as easy to drive in winter once it's done.
