About MowJoe Lawn and Landscape

Cedar Rapids has called itself the city of five seasons for longer than anyone can quite explain, the fifth being whatever time is left over once the actual work of a season gets done, and MowJoe Lawn and Landscape spends its winters making sure that fifth season starts as early in the morning as possible. The same mower that gets put up in the garage each November gives way to a plow blade and a couple of shovels, run down the same alleys and driveways it edged all summer. A lawn crew that already knows a yard's slope and drainage from June has a head start once the snow comes — where the water pools in a wet spring is usually where the ice forms first in a hard freeze. Getting a driveway scraped down to bare pavement before the sun's fully up is the whole difference between a morning lost to scraping a windshield and one that starts on schedule. It's the same yard, the same route, just a different season's worth of work.
