Hewitt Lawn Care and Snow Removal

About Hewitt Lawn Care and Snow Removal

Wellington Heights wears its age well — steep-gabled Victorians set close along streets platted before anyone thought about attached garages, with porch steps built for a different century's boots. Hewitt Lawn Care and Snow Removal spends its winters on those steps as much as on the driveways below them, since a house from that era usually has stairs no plow blade can touch. Clearing one means working the shovel up a narrow run, tread by tread, past an old railing, before the driveway even comes into it. The lawns these same houses keep in summer are small and shaded by trees just as old as the porches, and the crew that trims them in July is the one hand-clearing those steps in January. There's a particular kind of care a neighborhood like this asks for — not because the work is harder, but because so little of it is standard-sized.
