Down where the brick streets of Czech Village meet the murals and market stalls of NewBo, the Cedar River runs close enough that its cold reaches the pavement before it reaches anywhere else in the neighborhood. Go See Brown works those close-set blocks and the residential streets just up from the river, clearing walks in a district built for foot traffic long before it was built for cars. Brick under snow holds ice in its seams in a way plain concrete doesn't, so a shovel here has to go slower and closer than it would on a wide suburban drive. The Sinclair Levee bridge connecting the two neighborhoods gets busy again the moment its approach is scraped clear, dog walkers and coffee-run regulars back out within the hour. It's small-scale work, storefront by storefront and stoop by stoop, in a part of the city that was rebuilt to be walked.
