Bender's Lawn Care

About Bender's Lawn Care

Kenwood Park's curling cul-de-sacs fill in fast when the wind has a few hours to work on them, and Bender's Lawn Care treats every one of those dead-end loops like its own small job, plow blade angled just so around the turnarounds. The same crew that edges lawns along Blairs Ferry Road each summer switches completely once the first real snow lands, trading string trimmers for shovels and salt buckets. There's a rhythm to a residential street at 6 a.m. in January — porch lights still on, a dog barking somewhere, one plow already three streets over — and getting a driveway clear before that rhythm breaks into a workday is the whole point. A cul-de-sac holds snow differently than a straight block, piling it toward the center where nobody wants it, and knowing that shape is half the job. What's left behind is a clean apron of concrete circling back on itself, ready before the first car backs out.
