AAY Mowing Company

About AAY Mowing Company

First name in the listing, last truck off the street. Late afternoon on the north side, out past Boyson Road, the light comes in low and flat across yards laid out in the tidy grid this city has always favored, and the mower makes its final pass of the day. AAY Mowing Company keeps to a route and keeps to a schedule: cut, trim, blow the walks clean, move on, which is most of what a lawn actually asks of anyone. Iowa summers push the grass hard after every thunderstorm, so falling behind is the only real hazard, and it does not happen here. The day ends with the smell of cut grass hanging in still air all the way out to Hiawatha.
