About Schockemoehl Landscaping Inc

Past Cascade's last streetlight, the road opens into the dairy farms that fill the valleys around town, low ground where fog settles thick most winter evenings and holds the cold close to the barns. Schockemoehl's crew works those outlying properties at dusk, plowing long farm driveways and the gravel lanes leading up to the barns while the fog is just starting to thicken for the night. It's bigger, slower ground than a town lot, longer runs, wider turnarounds by the equipment sheds, but the same care goes into it, snow pushed clear of doorways and loading areas so morning chores aren't held up by a drift. Walks between house and barn get cleared last, once the wider lanes are open. By the time full dark sets into the valley, the farms Schockemoehl serves are ready for whatever the morning brings.
