About Reutzel Excavating

Reutzel Excavating is in the business of moving earth, and when a north Iowa blizzard buries Burt, snow becomes simply the next load to shift. Snow removal here means pushing back the drifts heaped against garages and the ridge a street plow leaves across the end of a driveway, then opening walks so the day can begin. Once the thaw comes and the grass greens up, the company turns to lawn care as well, mowing and trimming yards around town. Few sights match a long drive scraped down to pavement in the blue light before sunrise, the snowbanks squared off along its sides. It's heavy work given a clean finish.
