About Zorth's Lawn Care Inc

On a Saturday morning in March the Great River Bridge stands pale against a gray sky, downtown Burlington smells like wet brick, and the lawns off Jefferson Street are still half matted from the snow that sat on them. That is when Zorth's Lawn Care Inc opens the year, raking winter debris and packed leaves out of the corners, opening the turf so light and air reach the crowns, waiting for the ground to firm before the first cut. After that it runs weekly straight through the humid valley summer: mowing, trimming, edging along curbs and sidewalks, the pavement left bare when the work is done. The river rises and drops, the green season goes long, and the yards keep their shape the whole way. The measure of it is a clean line at the walk and a lawn that looks the same on Friday as it did on Monday.
