About U-Design Landscaping

Fog comes off the Mississippi before Burlington is properly awake, pooling in the low yards along the river road until the sun burns a hole through it. That is the hour U-Design Landscaping likes best, mower blades still cool and the dew heavy enough to hold a wheel track. Up on the bluff the light lands early and the grass dries first; down in the hollows it takes until nine, and the route is planned around that difference. Mowing, edging, string trimming along fence lines and foundations, clippings blown clear of the drive, all done in an order that leaves a yard looking finished rather than merely cut. By the time the barges are moving on the channel, the passes are laid even and the edges run as straight as a chalk line. It is ordinary work, and it is the reason a street looks cared for.
