Thompson’s lawn service

About Thompson’s lawn service

The Great River Bridge throws its white cables across the Mississippi, and on an October morning the Illinois shore beyond the water is all rust and yellow. Thompson's lawn service keeps the near bank tidy: mowing while the grass still asks for it, trimming borders, gathering the leaves that come down all at once when the wind shifts. Earlier in the year those same yards take a weekly cut and a clean edge along every drive. It is the ordinary rhythm of a river town — work the warm months, close things out before the cold. Each yard left swept, gate shut, walk clear.
