About Mc Cabe Tree Services

South of downtown, where Dankwardt Park's ballfields and picnic ground level out along the river flats, the snow tends to sit differently than it does up on Burlington's bluffs, less ice on the grade, more just plain depth to move. Mc Cabe's crew works that flatter stretch of town, plowing the residential streets and driveways that back up to the park instead of fighting a hillside. It's steady, even work: wide passes down each street, driveways cleared corner to corner, walks shoveled so the park's edge stays passable even when the fields themselves are buried. The river sits close enough here that the air holds a damp cold long after a storm clears, so the crew salts the walks a second time before calling a block finished. It's a different rhythm than the hill neighborhoods keep, suited to the flat ground it works.
