Klean Sweep Lawn & Snow Removal

About Klean Sweep Lawn & Snow Removal

Downtown Burlington's storefronts along Main and Jefferson open early, and Klean Sweep's crew is usually done with the block before the first customer tries the door. The work starts while the streetlights are still the only light on the bricks, blades scraping the curb lanes and shovels working the narrow strips of sidewalk in front of each shop. Storefront by storefront, the walk gets cleared to bare concrete and salted so the morning foot traffic off the river bluffs doesn't have to pick its way over a frozen crust. It's a small footprint compared to a subdivision, but a demanding one, every entrance has to be done, not just the wide stretches. By the time downtown wakes up, there's nothing left to show a storm came through overnight.
